Fundraising Activities
Dear friend, On behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa West we are asking your support for our Fourth Annual Comedy Fundraiser to be held on October 28, 2011 at the Ron Kolbus Centre in Britannia Park, featuring the hilarious talent of Yuk Yuk’s comedy club comedians. Ottawa West Kiwanis is part of a family of service clubs throughout Eastern Canada dedicated to making a difference in the world "One Child and One Community at a time." All revenues generated from fundraising efforts are returned directly to the local community. We are only able to accomplish this through the generosity of people such as you. This year funds raised from the event will be directed towards “Kiwanis Supported Children and Youth Projects”. Over the past 23 years The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa West has supported the youth of our community through the donation of thousands of dollars and volunteer hours. Whether collecting student supplies through stationary stores or funding initiatives in our local schools; whether assisting in programs for the developmentally challenged or sponsoring Kiwanis student “K” Clubs and leadership training in our high schools; whether helping to rejuvenate a neighbourhood park or assisting in the annual Kiwanis Music Festival involving thousands of children and youth, Kiwanis members care. Today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow. We believe our community must provide all children opportunity for reaching their full potential. As well as knowing you have helped promote the future of our youth, sponsorship of this event will provide you or your organization with tangible benefits. Your associates and/or friends may also wish to attend. Tickets are $35.00. Seating is limited. Food plus a cash bar will also be available. Thank you for helping us support the youth of our community.
